What is the course about?
Basic dog handling and obedience. Introduction to include meeting with other dogs and hygiene in public places.
PLEASE NOTE: AN UP TO DATE VACCINATION CERTIFICATION MUST BE PRODUCED AT THE FIRST MEETING.Tutor example, student and dog to follow.
Is there anything I need to bring with me?
Please bring a means of cleaning up after your dog if an accident happens.
Treats for your dog, plus a toy.
Is there anything else I need to be aware of?
Try to socialize your dog with people and other dogs. Walk dog to heel on lead.
You may enrol on the Kennel Club “Good Citizens” dog scheme FREE OF CHARGE.
There is an assessment at the end of the course and if successful you are awarded a certificate of achievement, rosette and a car sticker.
If your dog is a puppy (up to 12 months) you are invited to register with the Kennel Club to be awarded the “Puppy Foundation Award” prior to a bronze award.
It is recommended that you have completed the beginners course before moving on to the improvers course.
