Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Children and Young People’s Workforce

Workers in this area make sure children are looked after, kept active, happy and nourished. They also help children develop social and practical skills.

The advanced level apprenticeship is for those who work on their own initiative: planning and organising their own work and/or supervising others eg a nursery nurse, playgroup leader or a childminder working in their own home.

Level 3 Early Years Educator Advanced Apprenticeship

The early years foundation stage sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children have the skills they need to start school and gives them a broad range of knowledge.

The qualification criteria set out the minimum requirements for what an early years educator should know, understand and be able to do, to be considered qualified to support young children from birth to 5 years old in the early years foundation stage.
