Course Information

Detailed information about courses is available from all our campuses. You can also make an appointment to see our specialist staff if you have questions to which you need answers. Shropshire Youth can provide you with impartial advice and guidance.

Your school’s careers teacher is also there to support and help you.

Once you have decided to join the College community, you should complete an application form and return it to us, or fill out our online application form online, if possible by the end of February 2021, but don’t worry if you haven’t made your decision by then we will take late applications.

From January 2019 onwards we will be offering a series of tours followed by formal interviews. Acceptance onto your chosen course may depend on your examination results.

In the week before the beginning of the autumn term, you will be invited to College to complete enrolment formalities. You will find that you are really getting to know us by then. After the long summer break it is also an opportunity to meet up with old friends, make new ones, and catch up on all the news. Students will be issued with a lanyard, holder and ID badge that must be worn at all times. It is essential for everyone’s safety that staff, visitors and students can clearly be identified.

As an NSC Student

You will find that the first week is spent making sure that you have all the necessary information to make your time with us a happy, safe, and productive period of your life. We aim to give you the support to develop your full potential, but your time with us will not just be about computers, books, classrooms and exams. Should you wish, you will be able to be involved in a whole range of sporting, social and cultural activities.
