Sport Level 2
The Diploma will provide you with the opportunity to gain foundation knowledge and understanding in sports and fitness.
Practical sessions form an important aspect of the course enabling you to develop skills that are needed to work in leisure centres, sports retail outlets and activity centres. Your theoretical study will cover a wide variety of subjects, enhancing understanding of your physical performance and preparing you for further study. This will include areas such as fitness testing and development, anatomy and physiology, effects of exercise on the body, planning and leading sport
activities and injury in sport.

What is the structure of the course?
The Diploma will provide you with the opportunity to gain foundation knowledge and understanding in sports and fitness. Practical sessions form an important aspect of the course enabling you to develop skills that are needed to work in leisure centres, sports retail outlets and activity centres. Assessment is continuous and industry related, with assignments, projects and practical work. All full-time students are required to study maths and English at the appropriate level.
