BTEC Level 3 Extended Project and Level 3 Certificate in Maths

Overview

The extended project is an additional qualification that you can study alongside your main level 3 course. The qualification is an equivalent to studying an AS qualification and can gain you the same amount of UCAS points as an AS Level and is highly recognised by universities and employers. You will pick a topic that interests you and then complete a project on it. You can produce either; a dissertation, an artefact, a performance or an investigation into a topic of completely your own choosing and interests and your tutors would help you to do this. When the extended project is taken alongside a full level 3 BTEC and a Level 3 maths qualification, this uplifts your Level 3 qualification to a Technical Baccalaureate which is more highly regarded and demonstrates to universities and employers that you are able to work to a higher more technical ability.
