Hairdressing – Barbering Level 2

Overview

This qualification has been designed to prepare you for employment as a barber.

You will be trained in men’s different hair techniques and work on external clients to gain real life barbering experience, which provides a great opportunity to build confidence and skills. Students who are 16-18 years of age will be required to study maths and English as part of this study programme.

  • Cut Facial Hair to Shape Using Basic Techniques
  • • Dry & Finish Men’s Hair
  • • Create Basic Outlines & Detailing in Hair
  • • Assist with Shaving Services

What is the structure of the course?

Assessment is continuous and industry related, with assignments, tests, projects and practical work. All full-time students are required to study maths and English at the appropriate level.

What are the entry requirements?

  • 2 GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above
