North Shropshire College is consulting about the proposed closure of its satellite centres at Shipley, Tenbury Wells (the Aspire Centre) and Wem. This proposed change will enable the College to focus its investments at its two main campuses, at Oswestry and Walford, and improve its financial position by closing uneconomic centres that provide few courses for very small numbers of students.
For September 2018, students are able to apply for a place on the Animal Care Level 2 or Animal Management Level 3 course at Walford where the superb state-of-the-art Animal Care Centre houses over 90 animal species. The College offers residential accommodation with bursaries available. We are also investigating transport options from Bridgnorth with applicants with the aim of supporting them to travel to the Walford Campus. There is a vast array of other courses available at both Oswestry and Walford should you wish to consider other options.
There is a forthcoming open day at the Walford Campus on Sat 30th June 10am-2pm, and there will be an Advice and Guidance evening on Wed 29th August 4pm-8pm at both the Oswestry and Walford Campus. There is no need to book, anyone interested is invited to drop in to discuss their options for September.
We look forward to welcoming you to North Shropshire College
