If you already possess a Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing, this Level 3 one-year programme will help extend your skill development further. Hairdressing involves practical and interpersonal skills. Moulding and building shapes with hair can enable people to change looks according to their mood. To create these individual looks, shape, fashion and texture are all considered.
Emphasis is placed on practical skills which include cutting, drying, alternative setting, permanent waving, colouring and colour correction. Supervisory skills and goal setting are also included together with a range of optional areas of study. Work will be continually assessed throughout the course. Practical work with clients in a business like setting is carried out in the College salon where paying clients regularly attend.
