What is the course about?

· Sending and receiving E-Mail
· Attaching Documents and Pictures to E-Mails
· Introduction to Word Processing
· Creating a Letter
· Introduction to Formatting
· Saving and Opening Documents
A basic introduction to using the computer for beginners. Covering exploring and using the Internet. Working with email. Attaching document and photographs to emails. Basic Word. Being safe on-line etc.
The course is structured to introduce you to the subjects in easy stages. Suitable for beginners who wish to learn how to use the internet/email/word and also for those who wish to ‘brush-up’ their skills of using a computer in a relaxed atmosphere. All ages are very welcome. No formal qualifications are involved in this course. No initial preparation is required. The course in intended as an introduction to Information Technology and Computers. The course will focus on those skills that are most useful when using a Computer.
Is there anything I need to bring with me?
Pen. File in which to store handouts/worksheets. Notebook. If you have an email address already, a note of your user name and password. If you have one, a memory stick – if not, guidance about memory sticks and their use will be given on the course.
No specific extra costs involved at this stage. However, you may wish to purchase a memory stick after the commencement of the course.
